I have eggs that are 8 month old veiled chameleon eggs that i just switched from hatching soil to vermiculite because i realized their soil was getting moldy. However i think that my eggs took on too much water and I'm afraid they are no longer fertile. Any advice based on how they look? They're seeming to shrink. Thanks!

I keep going back and forth over them...not sure.
Was the top left one and the third one down on the right always smaller or did they start to shrink?

You have a couple of choices....just leave them alone and see if they hatch....or ....cut one open to see if the baby is formed and alive (I wouldn't do this ...you might "waste" a baby) I'd just wait.

As @kinyonga said if you want to know 100% you’ll have to sacrifice an egg. This sounds cruel and it will feel cruel to you if there’s a live baby in there and then you have to kill it. I know from experience, but sometimes this is a necessary evil so to speak.

A few has shriveled. I'm just going to leave them... if nothing happens by 9 months (the end of the month) I will try and maybe cut one open. Thank you so much for the feedback! I really appreciate it.
