"X-rays performed there revealed multiple spherical soft tissue opacity masses occupying a large volume of her abdomen. She was referred to me for diagnosis and appropriate treatment, and on inspection of the X-ray images an immediate diagnosis of follicular stasis was made. If it was a case of true egg binding or dystocia the masses would have been oval or ovoid in shape rather than spherical and most likely the shells would have been calcified resulting in a bright white perimeter similar to bone density rather than that of soft tissue"....
