Foliage

Hello!! This is my bioactive set-up, and I’m wondering what I could possibly do for foliage in the middle so he can be a little bit more hidden. I’m just wondering should I wait for the tree to grow and cover that area or just use fake plants in the mean time until the tree is big enough to cover that area?

I would start with an already 'tall' centerpiece plant/tree, and fill in around that as described here:
https://chameleonacademy.com/plants/

The big-box stores almost always have 2'-4' suitable plants for $10-$15.

Why use fake plants in the meantime if you can use live ones?
