Fluorescent Bulb??

So my sister has been using a fluorescent 50w twist bulb from zilla and she found out it can blind reptiles? I didn't want one of those bulbs anyway but for her sake, are they dangerous?

Short answer: No, its fine.
There were some of a specific brand, once upon a time, that had a defect.
Many people use them with no ill effect.

What type of reptile is she using it on? Thats a DESERT series bulb. I am pretty sure all the eye issues have been addressed and fixed. If it is a cham...and being filtered thru screen it may be ok.... She would have had issues soon after trying it
