Flipped lip?

Countryside Chams

New Member
Hey guys just received this female and looks to be in great health except during shipping something happened and she has rubbed her lip and it flips down. It had gone back to normal and then after she ate it flipped back down. It went back again and now looks like it might be stuck back down. Has anybody had this happen to one of theirs?

Try to moisten that tissue with some warm water and after a minute or two gently try to massage it back to normal position. I had a young female do that for a few times after her and her sister went after the same bug and bit each other (babies not yet separated) but it stopped after the third time I replaced it. Although it is also possible that the tissue of that area has been damaged and it may have difficulty maintaining its normal position. It's only a delicate layer of connective tissue there so if it gets damaged the lip can be floppy because there's nothing to hold it in place. I'd moisten well first and try to replace it though. If you can rub her chin while wet you might clean it off of anything sticky (even saliva can be) that is causing the lip to stick easier.
