hi i brought a fishers chameleon a couple of days ago from a reptile show and,failed to notice a lump on its side.it seems to be going black and he seems to have become lethargic..hes in a mainly mesh viv with wooden back mesh sides and top,repti sun 5 and 60watt basking temps basking 80 - 82 and cooler graident 70

He looks like a Giant Fisher...but I don't know my fishers as well as most on this site. Do you know if he is wild cought or captive breed? Most likely he is a WC in which case you need to get him to the vet as soon as possible to get started on getting rid of parasites. Also noticed you are getting a Faly...if he is CB you need to keep them and setups apart until the WC is clean if he is WC.

Looks WC to me...I don't think anyone is breeding fischeri successfully in UK. How large is he TL? Looking at the rostrals he looks adult or close to it. Raise your humidity for some part of the day especially during initial acclimation when he's most stressed. Spray him for drinking as many times a day as possible until his casque has plumped out, skin doesn't tent, and he doesn't seem desperately thirsty when you offer water (a really thirsty cham often drools a lot while drinking). He looks depleted right now. He's going to want a thickly planted cage...so dense you can hardly find him is about right. Fischeri are normally very active so the biggest cage you can get is best. Raise it up higher if you can. I would reduce supplements even more as they are pretty sensitive. Calcium without D3 lightly every couple of days, with D3 once a month at most, multivitamins once every 6-8 weeks if ever (do as much through your gutloading as possible). Cool room at night, can go as low as 60 F.
The lump could be an abscess, an old injury, or a migrating parasitic worm. Have a vet check or biopsy it. If its an abscess it will need to be cleaned out...abscesses in chams often don't just clear up on their own. If it is a parasite it can be surgically removed.

Nope, it isn't Kinyongia matschiei. Its a male Kinyongia multituberculata, he's just had most of his dorsal crest rubbed off.
