It could cause an issue if there isn't enough foliage in the enclosure. There should ideally be less light towards the bottom of the enclosure so the chameleon can choose how much light to be exposed to. Also, what time do your lights go out at night in the aquarium? Do you use LED night lights in it? There should be a dark room at night for ideal sleeping conditions. (You may want to use a blackout curtain and pull it around the enclosures at night.)
I actually had the same question so Im glad I seen your post. The chameleon will be going in a room with a saltwater tank that has green led's at night-all night. Didnt know if I should cover the tank... or cover the chameleon. They are on opposite sides of the room but still it may be to much light from what Ive read. Is it light in general or can a certain color be ok? There are a lot of live plants in my enclosure.
