"fischers" are very interesting chameleons. Some species in the genus Kinyongia are often referred to as fischers but there is actually only one true Kinyongia fischeri. Here are a few links,

At the moment you may be able to find K. tavetana, K. multituberculata and I believe K. matschiei. I am assuming that is what the Giant fischers on kingsnake are?? They will be WCs and you run the risk of them being beat up, sick, parasites or just failing to acclimate all together.

Adcham.com has a few profiles on some of the species also.

At the moment I am working with K. tavetana and I also received a K. multituberculata not too long ago. Both are very active species and even though they arent a large chameleon I would suggest they be housed in large densely planted enclosures. They are very nervous and shy. Its best not to handle or "pester" this species (as well with chameleons in general) especially when acclimating.

This link shows one of my enclosures on page 2 or 3. https://www.chameleonforums.com/ch-kinyongia-tavetana-update-27135/

They like cool temps and high humidity which I provide with an ultrasonic humidifier. DONT go cheap. I think mine was around 160$ at Lowes and it is a very good one. When they are being housed inside I try for temps around 77 from middle to top of cage, a little cooler on the bottom and a basking spot of 82 degrees. Night time it gets around 60 or cooler. Humidity is no lower than 60 outside the cages during the day and it reads high on my thermometer at night. Although adcham says they dont need to have entire screened enclosures because of humidity requirements I recommend all screen cages. Its much easier to control humidity outside of the cage with a good humidifier than with misting and dripping alone.

Please read the links provided. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

BTW, go for tavetana;)

Hey Carlos:

Are you thinking about getting the one that I have for sale, perhaps?? No shipping involved.... :) PM sent to you....

But yes, I agree with all of what Cainschams said. I have kept many "fischer's" and I love them very much. I keep mine downstairs along with my carpets = high humidity and cooler temps and lots of plants. All the ones I have kept have been extremely active and most of them nervous around people, although I have had a couple that are very friendly and will come out when you open the door and/or take food from your hand. They are a wonderful species to keep and watch.
