First time experiencing real sun rays

I redid his uvb branch today and he kept crawling onto me while trying to get it figured out, once done I decided to show him the sun rays of the High Desert in Lake County Oregon

Just keep an eye on him outside. Don't put him on a tree. They move fast when they want to and we have had people lose their chams along with being taken by large birds.

yeah I have seen it happen far too many times here over the last 7 years where they almost always end poorly. Always like to make sure people know the risk if they let the cham venture off.

I was nervous about that, we only stayed out for a few minutes because he didn’t know what to think. Thank you Beman.

So the lighting outside is different for them also it becomes a huge world where they are exposed. I found that when I would take Beman out with me that he always felt safer if we were sitting up against the house. Seemed as though the less he felt exposed the more content he was and would actually fully bask on me in the sun.

Yeah he was the bestest boy ever. Always would brace himself on me and do a full bask. Some great memories for sure.

I didn't want to derail the subject, but I can really feel there was something special here.

I was nervous about that, we only stayed out for a few minutes because he didn’t know what to think. Thank you Beman.

I do the same with Paulie. It seems to make him nervous to be out in the open, so I keep him close and we only stay out a couple minutes. He always wraps his tail around my wrist/fingers SUPER tight when we are out.

Looking back on these pictures, Beman looks so comfortable just soaking up that sun while resting on you. I cant wait for better weather in the spring because id like to bring Chameleonaire out some more

It was one of his favorite things to do. Some of my best memories where sitting out side with him sun bathing on me lol.
