hello again everyone.

Ive now had my male 4month chameleon for 2weeks and been doing all i can to make everything as stress free as possible and spending 30-45minutes aday with him.

These past few days he has had to convidence to climb onto my hand and collect his food off me and head back to his viv.

When ever i open his viv and pull a plant in front of it he runs at it and ends up falling sleep or watching the tv. Recent he had been trying to taste my hand or mistaking it as a bug.

Anywaye how do you guys think im doing with my taming process

Here is randel

I think you are doing well , you aren't pushing things and losing valuable trust but you are trying things that make him have to try things just a bit more. You are letting him set the pace with you sometimes nudging him a bit in the right direction, which is exactly how it should be. With taming a chameleon, you have to show if they are doing something scary with you there, you will back them up. It causes a trust to build. How ever tenuous it is, but it works. However a lot of people rush it, and that breaks it just as fast as not doing anything and likely causes the person to go back to square one. Keep it up ^^

Yeah how i see it is im invadeing his home so everything is to his pace. If he doesnt want to see me i will close his viv and leave him in peace, so far though he gets excited when i show up after work.

I am having some tough love with my cham kami if I go without handling him for a few days he will hiss and kinda nip at me my boyfriend says its cause my hands are always cold lol

Feeders will be ur best friend to gain their trust, use ur hand with open palm and slowly approach the cham underneath every day if they resist n hiss ,u can always use a stick or branch n let the cham climb with it n bring the cham out, then slowly placed the stick or branch to ur arm to bridge the cham climb on u.
Do this every day until they get used to the routine.
I always interact with all my baby chams individually ,and so far they always eager to climb on my hand n realized Im their "food sources supply " not the predator will harm them, the more time u put in with ur cham, the better chance taming them quicker.
Starting the baby cham early will be easier than try to tame an older cham, persistent always beat the resistant, have fun n never give up the training process.
