Greetings from MN everyone ! I have been reading on the forums for a couple months to help me prepare for a future baby panther cham. My enclosure is a 16 x 16 x 30 reptarium with a custom drain system. I have a reptisun 5.0 uvb and 60watt incand. bulb for basking ( steady at 82 deg.) The design is a bit..unique, but I believe it has all the ingredients for a happy cham! I want to thank all of you for making this build possible, and I encourage any input/critisisms.

Hey very neat! Love how it hangs. Is that a drainage system you installed inside of it also? Looks like you really did your research. Your off to a great start by doing your research before getting the chameleon. Looks great but I don't see a drip system?

Make sure you're basking temps and humidity are correct and you should be set. Also, this cage may become small for him after he has grown up, I would guess around the 6-8 month mark you will want to look at maybe going bigger, but I always have to recommend free ranging the chameleons whenever possible.

thanks for the quick reply...the drainage is a tilted false bottom made from corrogated plastic with a 1/2 in elbow in the back. Good catch on the dripper. I just went to the local fish store to diy one, but I think I can buy one for less than the parts cost( they only sold valves in packs of 8). I opted for the reptarium just to make it to about the 8 mo mark before upgrading to a diycages 2x2x4.

Well then welcome aboard! Your all setup with your enclosure. Got all of your cricket and worm containers ready too? Where were you planning to purchase the cham from?

Thanks again! I just finished hot gluing the screen over the vents and placing packing tape along the top of my tubs. Theres soo many great breeders that are sponsers here, but I might try and see what Eric from 101 (I think that's right?) has got coming up. Those fierce babies are looking mighty sharp now that they are a bit older. He has some really nice breeders but I may not be able to wait for the ones I like most!

Nice enclosure! The hanging idea is great--it enables you to keep the enclosure at a higher level, which your cham will love. It should be replaced with a larger enclosure as your cham reaches adulthood. What are you doing for misting/drinking?
