Hey everyone, just wanted to post some pics of my new enclosure for Yoshi. He is my first chameleon, so any suggestions/tips would be greatly appreciated. He's a 9 month old male Ambanja measuring at about 13 inches. I'm still in the process of purchasing a scale to monitor his weight.
As for feeding/supplements, I offer about 10 crickets daily, and 3-4 superworms once a week as teats. I lightly dust his crickets every other day with Rep Cal herptivite and calcium with d3, as directed by the breeder. (Screameleons) I've heard from some that this may be too much d3, but since he has yet to have any exposure to natural sunlight I decided to stick with it. I also gutload with a mixture of brewers yeast, spirulina, bee pollen and dried kelp, along with fresh fruits and vegetables. I'm also in the process of training him to cup feed, I'm no longer using the cups pictured as I feel they are too deep. I apologize for the poor pic quality of the enclosure.
His enclosure is the standard 2x2x4 which I've placed on a custom built stand to keep him above eye level. As for the lighting I'm using an 18" reptisun 5.0 and a 60 watt blue bulb for heat, with a basking temp of 85-88 degrees and an ambient temp of 75-80 with 40-60% humidity. For his water source I'm using a mistking which drains into a flower pot, which is hidden inside the stand. For now I have a umbrella tree which seems to be doing fine with all the excess water.
Again, any suggestions/tips would be greatly appreciated
