First horn worm

My Chameleon he's a verrucosus aka "chazam jr" had his first horn worm today. He was staring at the worm for no joke 10 minutes. He finally got his butt over to him and shot his tongue at him and the worm was hanging on to the hibiscus branch and didn't let go for a couple minutes till he ripped him off.

I have a 5 month old that just had his first one today and he did the same exact thing. Those worms have a real good grip, and it was not coming off easy, but he was so excited, he literally ran over to the limb, grabbed the hornworm by the tail, and pulled him off. Great to watch.

They're funny when they get their first hornworm! Mine almost pulled himself off of his vine hahaha!

Hahahaha, so question for you guys..where's a good place to order hornworms from? I've just been feeding dubias and crickets to mine and wana give em a lil treat.

I ordered them from Backwater Reptiles. Not cheap, but easy to care for and obviously, the chams go crazy for them. My only problem was that they grew quickly. I ordered the smallest they had and had trouble feeding them all before they got way too big for my little guy to eat.

Take a look at our sponsors. Click in the upper right on the main screen. We have several who sell horn worms.
