First chameleon-check out my cage!

Any tips/suggestions are welcome! The cage is 18x18x36. Will house a female Panther. This is my first chameleon so any help would be great. Thanks in advance!

I have an egg laying bin but was going to weigh her weekly and only put it in when she has eggs. Also with this method, once she gains weight how long roughly before she lays them??

Looks good! Mix of live and fake plants? What is the real plant at the bottom?

At least one of the branches should go to the bottom of the cage. If she gets to the floor, you want to give her a way up that is not climbing the screen. I really like that you provided vines and branches of a variety of thickness and material. I think that is overlooked for general enrichment and for nail/foot health.

Do you have a UVB bulb? I can't tell from the photos, but you must have one. The bulbs need to be replaced about every 6 months if you use Zilla or ZooMed brands.

Have you tested the dripper and let it run for a few hours? You don't want a surprise flood on day one.

Are you all set for supplements? How about gutloading your insects?

If you don't have a digital thermometer, even a cheap one, that is something you want to buy now to check the temperature of the basking spot under the heat lamp. If it is too hot, chameleons won't move away from the light and are easily burned.

I can't answer your question about eggs, but hopefully someone with girl cham experience will jump in on that issue.

Thank you so much for all the great feedback! I was a little worried when I started reading! . I do have a uvb bulb, reptisun 5.0. I will change it every 6 months. The dripped has been tested, successfully. I will definitely add something so she can get up from the bottom. I was curious about that if they ever really go on the ground.
For supplements I was going to use calcium w/out d3 at every feeding and then calcium w/d3 once to twice a month as well as a multivitamin with vit A as beta carotene twice a month. (I already bought those). I was going to gutload with whatever fruits/veggies etc I have in my fridge at the time but have a list of all the best guy loading foods to reference.

I may get a digital thermometer because I think the one I got isn't great.

Oh and the live plant in the front I believe is asparagus fern. I do know they were all on the chameleon safe forum! There is English lavender in there too.

Lathis covered most of it but I did want to point out one thing. It looks like one of the branches goes to the top of the ceiling. If the heat light it right on top she could get burned. All the basking branches should have her back about 5 or 6 inches from the bulb. Enclosure looks good. Unusual for a new keeper. You must have done your reasearch.

Looks pretty good, but are you sure you wanna keep your Xbox beneath an enclosure that you'll be misting with water? Just a thought....

Thanks everyone! The light are not touching the screen and I may lower the branches once she gets bigger so she won't be as close to the top. With her being young I think she will be small enough for now.

As far as the misting I'm actually in the process of either looking for a new stand and/or putting some kind of backing on the left and back side to prevent the wall getting wet and help keep my humidity up because it's too low as is.
