finding live plants???

I am in a pinch! i am getting my chameleon in almost a week(it is being shiped) and i cannot find any live plants that fit my cage... my cage is 48 inches high. where can i find suitable plants for my cage, and what types do you recomend??? Thanks for your help. btw, for now, untill i can get my live plants.... i have fake plants

I personally would recommend a hanging pothos and schefflera (umbrella plant) as they both help keep the humidity up and hold the water on the leaves well for your cham to drink from. They are both also quite hardy though will die off easily if over watered (talking from experience lol) I don't know where you are but here in Canada you can find them at home depots, Canadian Tire, or pretty much most nurseries sell exotic plants. Just be sure that when you buy your live plants you clean the leaves off with mild soap and water as some places spray insecticides or leaf shiner stuff on their plants. i just went out searching today and came across an amazing selection of plants at Home depot - they weren't in the nursery but right next to it inside - almost missed em. They have most of the plants that are listed on here in the live plant database.

Ficus, Schefflerra, Pothos, Jasmine, and Hibiscus are all acceptable non-toxic plants you can use. If you cant find plants that are large enough you can use plant stands or pots to make the plants higher til they start to grow.
