Finding homes for babies.

My helmeted chameleon had some babies on April 7, 2022. They are all doing great. When I get ready to rehome them what are things that I should ask potential new owner? If I have to ship them, what is the best way to do that. I am overly protective of these babies and know I will have a hard time letting them go but know I have to. Any advice is much appreciated. I attached a few pictures of some of them.

I bought my baby from markschameleons.com. he was great went over my setup to make sure everything was adequate. Shipped from ny to ca via fedex put used an animal shipping co. No issues the four month old veiled was in a clear cup with top on papertowels cluthing a stick and there was a heat pad on top of the styrafoam.

Definitely ask about the nighttime drops and husbandry questions like what their basking temps are, uvb type cage size and supplementation someone should have a setup ready before they get a chameleon to be able to jump right in

Oh before I forget experience and research done hoehnelii aren’t as simple I’ve found as a carpet chameleon from my limited experience and from what Sean mccnealy has told me they seem to be a little more challenging in his years of experience with them vs a Jackson’s

Idk much about shipping I’m going to have to learn tho but temperatures are important since reptiles are more cold tolerant than heat tolerant in general you’ll have a hard time finding a reptile that actually enjoys constant 90 degree while being shipping

You’re familiar with the special care these species need? They need different husbandry parameters then Veiled’s, especially the heavy nighttime temperature drops is mostly a problem for a keepers.
