Finally! So excited!

Hello all!
Well I was getting worried about my quadricornis female, she was staying at the bottom of her cage, and basically running around it for about two days. Yesterday, I put her in my garbage can laying bin, and she is currently digging. I started the tunnel for her last night, and she went in there checking it out. It has been nice outside here in Florida for May, about in the 70's where I am, so I have the cage outside. I will be getting a smaller laying for the enclosure with dirt in it, it seems like she didn't like the sand. I am planning on getting another female this weekend, so I am hoping my project will pick up speed soon. Just gotta wait for the little guy to get bigger :).

Oh- Any guesses on how many eggs?
 
Thanks y'all! She is heads up, so she is laying right now. Hopefully I'll know soon, she had a ton of eggs in her, so we'll see what the verdict is in a few hours.

I am guessing on 15. Is my baby out of the egg yet and on the way?? Don't give me that crap about how she has to lay the eggs first, I am ready.:D:D Let me know as soon as she lays, here is hoping all goes well.

Hahahaha. Ok Laurie, I won't say that to you. :D I'll just hold the baby for a few more months :p

wow some of your numbers amaze me:) when my flap neck laid i was only thinking of a few until it took them out and found 45 of them. hey quick questions do chams check up on their eggs cause since I took the bin out my flap neck keeps going to the ground looking for it I think.
 
@allen- how long ago did she lay? Also- did you bother her while she was laying? She may not have finished laying.

@Everyone else- I have the final count. Any other guesses? The female laid fine, and just got a shower, she drank some, and got cleaned off, and is now back in the enclosure. I am going to fatten her up for a few days, then put her back in her original enclosure with the male.

I know!!!

I did have a question, some of the eggs were normal egg shaped, but some were longer, and skinnier. All were very white, and looked good, but I didn't know if those were an early sign of being infertile.

Can I guess a few more times? it will give me a better chance to win my baby right?:D I am really happy to hear all went well.
 
You can keep guessing Laurie :p. Some people are closer than others, but I a not revealing the number of eggs for maybe another hour :)
