I free range my supers and the uneaten ones burrow into the soil in the planter and when they come out like beetles I put them in a container with grinded oat substrate and feed them greens. What felt like waiting forever like a child on Christmas, the day has finally come..... I found a bunch of tiny baby supers today!!!! I just about screamed out loud and had to share the news! I know you diehards out there will understand my utter joy :D

That's AWESOME!!! How long did it take to get the babies? I have had my beetles for more than a month an nothing yet...I went to change out the oat substrate this past weekend and they were all paired off. It was one huge beetle orgy going on in there so I closed the drawer and figured I would try again another day :D

Lmao, definitely don't wanna break up the party!:p ya know Clarke, this is like the first time that I haven't marked it on the calendar but I would have to venture a guess of approximately 2 months or so

Mine took about 1 month before I started to see babies. I was about to give up and then literally as I was going to empty my bins out, I saw tons of tiny babies. Now, 3-4 months later, I have thousands of supers and my beetles are still going strong. I give mine pieces of potato and a piece of romain lettuce every few days and swap the bedding for my beetles every 1-2 week and trust me... You will have tons and tons!!! I started with about 20-30 beetles and only about 4-5 have died off thus far.
