Finally figure out a drainage method for my indoor cages

Dude, I love it! Cleaner than my current set up. I also like that the whole bottom is covered, no random splashes. The price is great also, I love Ikea. What section was it in? Did you order it or get in the store? Time for a
little road trip.

I like the look of that idea! We have IKEA here in the UK but not sure if we can get the same products. Only problem is that i live on an Island at least an hour and a half away and IKEA don't do home delivery. Could you please tell me the name of the product?

Also, just a general drainage question. I am looking at moving Monty into a screen cage soon now the weather is getting warmer. I have a couple of deas for drainage, but what I would like to know is this - when you mist the cage, does the water run down the sides and back and drip fromt he corners rather than into the drainage pan underneath? How do you deal with that issue? My cage is on a wooden cupboard with the electric sockets for his ight on the floor by the side.

is that a reptibreeze cage? im facing the same challenge...did u drill a whole in the bottom to drain the water into the tray on under the cage in the stand? please excuse my ignorance if im wrong, i just really like your idea and want to copy :D

hey, I have a reptibreeze for a five month old female and i made a quick stand out of a 16" x 8' long melamine shelf. I used the table saw and ripped it down to make a 40" tall pedastil out of it. The top is an inch wider than the cage and the base is not as long and a few inches narrower. I drilled a hole in the top the size for a sink drain and stuck that through the bottom of the reptibreeze and through the hole. there is a hole through the side and a drain pipe sticks out that is aiming in a plant. I used the plastic water base thing for the reptibreeze and it worked awesome. With the drain in the middle lift up the four corners an inch and it drains sweet. take the rubber washer out of the sink strainer and it drains and nothing gets out but water, i have a ficus right on the drain but im going to put a platic grate over the entire bottom but havent had time. This is my outdoor enclosure i did up for the short term as an inside. I will add a couple pictures of it from when i made it so it makes sense, i painted mine black but no joke i spent about a half hour on this and twenty bucks. Im a carpenter though and i have the access to the proper tools. If you or anyone else wants better pictures or a much more detailed write up, I wouldnt mind.

Take it easy, Jarred

Can you post a link to the product itself? I couldn't find it on Ikea.com. I will have to order it online, since the closest Ikea to me is 437 miles away...
