Took the crew out for some sun today. Putting them on opposite sides of the same tree for 10 to 20 minute turns. These 2 brothers ran into each other while roaming. 1st pic shows male 1 sees male 2. 2nd pic shows male 1 move towards male 2 in a threatening display of head bobbing & intimidation. Male 2 does not back down which leads to 3rd pic where 1 attacks 2 & the 4th pic they are in a wrestling match which I only allowed to last for a few moments. The 5th pic is the proud winner of the scuffle.
This happened in a free range situation, happens in their natural habitat all the time , & I won't let it happen again, but it does show the reality of their territorial instincts. Keeping chameleons in the same enclosure is not a good idea.

haha lil chameleons..good thing they arent in the wild and are supervized as they would injure eachother..soo funny how they really dont seem to be equipped for fighting but yet they are really territorial..funny lizards..

Aww man those males are gorgeous! You have bad a** jacksonii.

I love the look of satisfaction of the victors face and stance.
