Fertile Egg vs. Infertile egg

Question for the experienced: What would the insides of 2 week old fertile vs. infertile egg look like?

Being that I have 77 and it was her first time...I'm assuming I have infertile eggs here. I squeezed out a whole crapload of this thick white creamy white stuff....(hope nobody's eating as they read this)! I'm assuming I should've had a yolk already if fertile!

@ 2 weeks im not sure if you get a yoke or just a thickening of the inner lining of the egg... I could be worng and probably am, I just saw a show on alligators adn thats what the gators eggs did in some aspect...

LOL....as i was reading the post I got a visual of dirty jobs last night. I knew it was a popular show but this is a little strange :)

Howdy,
Although I've hatched eggs, I never did an "insides" comparison of fertile vs. infertile. If she has been with a male then assume that they are fertile. If she hasn't then treat them as if they were fertile and learn from the experience of watching them fail and how long it takes :).

So it's been like 3 weeks...I got some of the fuzz off, but i'ts hard to get it all off cause the eggs are sorta stuck to the vermiculate. I tried spraying with one spray to loosen it to get off...not enough to drown eggs...but am noticing my eggs shrivelling up and look dead/infertile. I'm seeing yellowish colours on the eggs too. Nothing black or brown though. Any thoughts?

i got 2 clutches of veiled eggs.the first was laid 8/10/07 the second 8/17/07

the first clutch has some bad eggs but there are good ones ,the real tiny eggs are gonna be bad 2-3 starting to cave in.
the second clutch looks much better its fireball's clutch some are already calcifying.
shes gonna make some nice veileds. fireball looks alot different then my other 2 females.

do the fertile eggs look yellowish right after they are laid?

Hey Cowchick,
Fuzzy mold really doesnt grow on good eggs only bad ones. If you can post pics so we can see what your workin with and we can better tell you where you went wrong if you did. Thanks

Those are pics 4 days after they were laid...keep in mind I had lid closed on containers, so there wasn't enough airflow...the mould has gotten much worse, but I tried scraping it off tonight. I will take more pics of the eggs now, but this is what I started with.

Hey Cowchick,
All those eggs are bad. Thats alot of mold and all the eggs have a yeelow color to them. If they were fertile they would be a nice calcified white color.
Sorry
