Female yemen looking a bit poorly and not eating

My female yemen over the last couple of weeks has been very angry, won’t eat (i’ve tried her with different foods, i have grubs on the way to see if she will eat those too). It’s been nearly two weeks since she has last eaten. She has never ever been like this. She has a bit of weight around her belly so may be about to lay eggs but i’m not sure and i’m a bit concerned as she used to be so chill and nice with me. I’ve had her just over a year now, and got her when she was 6 months old.
Her eyes are sunken and she just doesn’t have energy, there’s water always dripping and i mist her twice a day but she doesn’t seem to be eating or drinking. I’m very worried:(

They get grumpy when they are carrying eggs. Has she ever laid eggs before? As @Beman asked...does she have a proper lay bin in her cage? If so, how long has it been there? I hope she's not eggbound.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry you're having problems with your chameleon.

she keeps shutting her eyes and has blotches of almost shiny colour on her side
So her eyes signify that something is really wrong health wise. I am worried with her going off food so long ago that she may be egg bound. You need a really good reptile vet. They need to see if she is holding eggs which is typically done with an xray. Sometimes they will give them a shot to help induce egg laying if that is the issue. But by the look of her she needs a vet sooner then later.

I am going to call a vet tomorrow. I live in cornwall in the UK, i’ve been trying to find a specialist specifically for her but can’t seem to find a contact. Like i said i will call a vet tomorrow and pray that they can help her urgently. This is very sad news🙁

Ask them if they know a vet that specializes in reptiles. You do not want a regular vet. They will not know how to treat her. Sorry and good luck to you.

She is staying over night with the specialist at the vets, and in for surgery tomorrow. All i’ve got to do is hope and pray now 🤞
