Hiya,
I have a female veiled chameleon i believe she is coming up to two years old (the previous owner didn't know exactly).
when I first got her she would let me hold her, however after about 2 months she turned very aggressive. over time i would try to get her used to my hand. Then about a month ago she stopped being aggressive and let me hold and stroke her, and she seemed very comfortable to be sat on my arm or shoulder. However a couple weeks ago she suddenly be become very aggressive whenever i put my hand in her cage, not even near her or on the side on the cage she is on. i had put some new leaves in her viv recently.
I was just wondering if this is a hormonal thing, i have never mated her and i dont believe her last owner mated her. If anyone could give me any idea of why she does this and if their is anyway to calm her down. it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
