Female veiled?

There is this female veiled at my locale pet store and she is absolutely adorable (I really want her I adore her) every time I go to the store she claws at the cage until I open it and pick her up. But... I think she may be egg bound... And I don't want to get an egg bound female veiled. The only reason I think she may be egg bound is because she has been over sized for quite a while now and they think she just "absorbed" them back in but I think that is pretty much the same thing as egg bound. So any advice or pictures of egg bound females would be great so I know whether or not she is. Thanks.

Is it a big name store?

You could always try and talk to management, and let them know your concerns. Maybe they could get the animal medical care, and then sell it to you if it checks out ok?

I understand wanting to "rescue" them, but it only makes them bring more in. There are other adorable, healthy, chameleons that need love too though ;)

I have I'm actually good friends with pretty much all the staff (I frequent the store at least 2 a week) I've told them they should put her back in a 10 gallon bucket with soil to see if she lays but they said they already did and she didn't lay. I don't want to get her if she is egg bound because I wont be able to afford her vet bills... Recently I have been looking for a male juv. or adult Sambava panther but I only have $100 to spend atm and they are so expensive.

sunkin eyes are a good sign not moving around her enclosure and not eating. hope this helps if you have a female you think is egg bound post pics????

Lol She isn't mine. XP I don't remember her having sunken eyes and when I took her out of her Critter Carrier (Yes I know she needs a ventilated cage I argued with them for about half an hour about why she needs one) she was climbing all over me and my girlfriend. She kept climbing in her hair and it was really cute. Next time I go I'll try to snap a few photos (probably Wednesday). She looks pretty pregnant to me but they said she is just "fat" or absorbed the eggs back in which I don't really see how that works nor does it sound logical/possible for that to even happen.
