Hi
I have read quite a bit about female veil chameleons laying eggs,
but from what age do they start does anyone know please, as mine is about 5months old and I wanted to know when to add a bucket af sand to the vivarium
Thanks:)

Now would be a good time to put an egglaying chamber in her cage. Even if she isn't carrying eggs, its better to have one than to miss the subtle signs and have her become eggbound.

The containers I use, when empty are big enough for the female to fit into with several inches on all sides. I fill it about 2/3rds full of washed sandbox sand. This gives the female a place to dig but doesn't take up much room in the cage. If she starts to dig here, then when she is intent on laying the eggs, she can be moved to a larger container.
