Female Veiled Chameleon Eggs

So, I have a female veiled chameleon, named Lily, who bred with my Male veiled Chameleon Kink.

She is currently laying her eggs. After she is finished, I am going to pull the eggs and set them up to get them hatched.

I will be updating this thread weekly with how much the eggs weigh, and pictures.

awwwwww congrats make sure you keep us posted. I have my first set of eggs incubating since December 18th 66 eggs still going strong. :D I can't wait to have little baby veileds :D Good luck!

Well she dug a hole, stuck her butt down in it.. then as i walked by the room just now, shes up on her basking perch... Stilly obviously lumpy and full of eggs.

no eggs in the hole, and its not covered up..


guess she was practicing. :rolleyes:

Very excited for you! That is an awesome photo that you have as your a I, I'm guessing that is the male, Kermit. He is beautiful.....I just find myself drawn to their little faces lol, they look like they have so much character and that little turned up nose lol....cute!

I'm going to check in on this thread tomorrow to see how your veild is doing. I hope she lays during the night like ours did. Do you have a plant in the bin? We put a plant in after reading they like to lay near the roots....it really worked too. We added a plant and that is just where she laid them....in the hole that I had started for her with a spoon. She really didn't dig to deep from where I had stopped either.

Looking forward to seeing ya eggs. Exciting times....can I ask if you will be keeping the eggs in an incubator or closest please?

Yes my avatar and the pix in the albums is Kermit, the male.

I love his turned up nose. it reminds me of the whos from whosville in dr. seuss's how the grinch stole xmas. :p

She has a huge plant to lay in if she prefers, but it looks like she wants to use her lay bin.. for now.

And she will not be laying tonight.. she is fast asleep in her basking spot.

Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

Any update on kermit and chlor by the way.? Tell them I am waiting, impatiently, for a baby. :)

I think this is the perfect time for a guess how many post to be posted...and to tell Lily that she needs to get to laying because I need pictures, and a baby veiled to fill a cage in my house. A beautiful boy from Kink. haha. Well..handsome.?

its ok :) clair did the same thing. threw dirt all over my room and ignorerd her laying bin so i just stuck her in it after like 6 test holes. she was sooo tired by the end of the day that i also had to take her out when she was finished. coverd in sand. she drank alot and then slept in the next morning. than she was fine ^^.

No update... but last I heard they were tolerating each other, and chloe stopped chasing him. so now we just wait for chloe to cycle back into receptiveness. ;)

and I whispered to lily to wake up and lay in the morning. :p

Shes still lumpy, and i just dug through her hole, just in case, no eggs, and she ate againll haha go figure.

So hopefully ill come home tomorrow and she will have laid.

Lily is a very clean digger. she slowly moves dirt, doesnt kick it everywhere. thankfully.
but shes got a huge lay bin, and a big 12 inch terra cotta plant pot to dig in that has her plant in it if she prefers.

Im hoping lily lays tomorrow. since she dug today, and then is sleeping soundly right now.
 
Okay. I will get a baby from you, and his name shall be Kink Junior. He will be the most handsome little veiled, and you won't be able to see him.
