Female receptive again and...

Once again my male is not interested. She's been receptive for two days now and they've been together since, in the males cage. There is no aggression at all, they walk right past eachother a lot actually. I've had their cage outside, inside, them on a large ficus inside, them on a large fake plant outside and the male is still not interested. I'm getting a little impatient... I do not want to miss this second oppertunity. Who else has had this problem and please list your ways of helping your male get interested.

By the way fecals have been done on him during the time my female was unreceptive and the vet said it was clean.

A good way sometimes is showing another male, if he gets angry at that male, he might be more interested afterwards. Try to let him then feel he wins, by keeping the 2nd male lower and removing from his area (territory) again.
If you have no 2nd male close by, try putting him in front of the mirror, can help, but no guarantee.

If he reacts not at all, he might not do anything at all.

Raising the temperature a little can also help, autumm is the best time of year for the doubtfull wanting to mate males.

Putting the female in the males cage, might work better then vice versa in that case.

Some Panther males (minority) just will never (want to) mate in their lives...
Somehow i have had/seen these kind of males a few times, and most were blue nosy be's can be a coincidence, but i see in your pic a blue one too... if that is him?

I do have a male but he is not intimadated By him because he's smaller. I tried showing him in the mirror but he doesn't do anything with that either. The Cham in my avatar is my old nosy boy that passed but this new guy is also a nosy be. They are outside right now where it's pretty warm 89 today because of the rain, though the sun does come out a little and it heats up a bit. Maybe I have a dud.....

I feel for you. I'm currently going through the same situation and have tried everything you have. My male did however get excited (head bob) and fired up for a younger smaller female but she was too small to breed IMO.

I think it might be that the females size intimidates him.

Is your male a lot bigger than your female?

Wow hold up! Tried something different, I put my male Sambava's cage right next to his and while he started head bobbing at the female so did my male nosy! He's trying to mount now!!

Dont give up on them yet. I took my laptop and took a video of ranger that I did a while back and keap playing it over and over.He got pissed becuase the other guy wasent getting mad. and then he went to the top of his fake tree and bobbed his head off and got the deed done.Lol.:D

Lol that's interesting! Tomorrow is a new day, I'll re-introduce them again in the morning. Crossing my fingers!

Just an opinion but maybe find somethin he fires up/ head bobs at and then "tease" him with it, truth be told the boner wants what it cannot have lol! But I hope you get him to be interested soon. Somethin funny I thought of while reading this was gutload the feeders with viagra(just kidding about the viagra of course)

Lol @ the gutloading! I honestly do not know anything he'll fire up to. I never have seen him flare up at anything but me, but he wasn't firing up he was just gaping.

Well I have the biggest wimp of a male ever. He is now terrified of my female who is smaller than him and he runs away from his own reflection when I show him a mirror. I give up...
