Female Nosy Faly Panther, swelling around neck.

My male ambanja had this. My vet stopped all supplementation. Crickets were only gutloaded with veggies and fruit, no artificial supplementation like Flukers or Cricket Crack. I also had to up his misting and humidity (hence the Reptimist I was talking about that got bashed). I followed my vet's directions to the T and it has gone away. She said it was not gular edema - it is not in the gular region, that is under the chin. Anyway, do what you will, that is what I did.

Alright I will get the fresh greens then instead and fruit. I appreciate it.

Doesn't gular edema also cause swelling of the glands just inside the inner legs? I had thought you could tell if the swollen neck was gular by the additional nodes being puffed out under there else it was some other issue. If that is wrong, can some expand and explain?

It is on the inner legs also. Not to bad but it is there on the girl and even a little on the faly boy.

I have a female who has the same thing going on with her neck. I thought it was normal because she acts completely healthy. The egg laying makes sense for her though because she is on her sixth clutch this year and only has the swollen neck when she is getting close to lay.

6 clutches in less than year is alot, you are shortening her life span.

Stress and Cold?

So for the most part she seems to be healing from this problem or expelling the toxins but in the morning when it is cooler it seems more visible or when I handle her and possible stress her it becomes worse.

Any more info on this I would really appreciate it.

The crickets are being gutloaded with fresh greens, oranges and carrots. I am just trying to keep it simple.

How long does this take to clear up? When should I be worried if it doesn't go away?

Sorry to bring this thread back to life. I have the same with my Mitsio female at the moment, Not so advanced though, just a small lump under her gular/chest, looks like small breasts. The info on here has reassured me a lot as I was about to go to the vets for some blood tests to see if her vit A levels were out of order. Ill cut back suppliments and offer more water and silkies and see if it improves in a week or so before considering the vet. Thanks for the good information guys.
