hi everyone, :) i have two female panther chameleons, their between 3-4 months old and all they do is eat. im fine with that :D as long as there eating well and healthy i'm happy. but am i feeding the right amount of food? i give them 1 locust every other or every 3rd day but other days in-between im feeding them 10 crickets each they are size 3-4 known as standard on some packs of crickets i buy, they eat them all very quick and on the days i feed a locust they are still fed around 6 - 8 crickets. This morning when i woke my youngest had a mouth full of soil of course i removed her straight away. not that she was pleased, i moved her then when i went to start covering it up again she came running back down to eat it again and started kicking and moving the rocks there was no food there at all why could this be ?

Hi
At their current age they should be fed as much as they'll eat. You could even try feeding them twice a day. Perhaps there was a cricket down their hiding and she was looking for it or maybe she was really hungry.

What is your supplementation schedual and how do you gutload your feeders?
I ask because I've heard they'll eat soil for nutrients if they are deficient in something.

well i keep getting told just so many a day but i would rather feed them untill there full i put calcium on there crickets daily they have fresh water dripping 24/7 i feed them meal and silk worms as a treat ( they dont eat them ) i give locusts and crickets do you think i should feed more ?
