Feeding Time! NOM NOM NOM

very nice!! I see you are using pipe cleaner for vine!! I was thinking of trying that out since it is like 300 times cheaper than biovine! Does it work well and hold up the chams weight?? Yours look to be an adult or close so he probably weighs as much as Ester does

Ya idk if you can tell but i got 3 and braided them to make it strong, every once in a while you will have to twist em and make em tight, but they work pretty well.

handsome boys ;)

I'd be very wary about using pipe cleaners, a professional should probably verify this because I know it's true for many animals (just not positive for chameleons) but by using anything that is "uniform" in size it can cause problems with animals feet because their feet get used to only that one size of 'perch.' Think of it like this- their little hands need exercise by getting to grab at all sorts of different sized things.

I'm sure you have plants in there though, if he's on the plants most of the time- and on the pipe cleaners rarely in comparison- then I wouldn't imagine it would cause any problems.
(just wanted to let you know)

Viaje: I was thinking the same thing..the fuzzy will wear and they will be left with a wire..and its not Thick enough I would think to hold them plus the weight of a large grown chameleon is more than I think even three cleaners could manage. Inventive idea though, although not entirely safe IMO.

I can't imagine that the texture feels right to them at all.. i always recalled pipe cleaners feeling kind of sharp where you could feel the wire bits through the fuzzies etc.

meh, 3 braided together, i know what people say, i check them daily, i already changed it once after 2 months after they wore. I check daily to make sure. Plus he spends most of his time on his bio vine and in his plant, only uses pipe cleaner for basking.

barf!
