Feeding question

I try to judge the width of the mouth, and feed smaller than their jaw is wide.

When should I start feeding my 5 month old Cham adult crickets? He's a panther male btw.

when the chameleon is large enough for large crickets :)

for the most part, the prey shouldnt be much wider than the space between his eyes, or longer than about half as long as his body.
soft bodied feeders like silkworms can be wider, because they squish.

I was really worried about my 5-month old veiled eating large crickets, paranoid he'd choke, etc...well one day I bought six of them to try out, and he gulped them down no problem! No excessive swallowing or anything. So maybe feed him one and see how he does from there.

If they're too big will he not eat them because I have a Jackson's that is on a eating strike right now

i have a 4 month old nosy be and he is already been on adult crickets for like a month and he eats them no problem its all on the size of the chameleons head

I'm feeding him large crickets but they are bigger that the spacd between his eyes. Does this matter . Cause he hasn't been eating.
