Please if anyone has or had pygmy's i need some help. I just got a pair of pygmy's and the guy at the counter said that they would eat 2 or 3 crickets a day, I have tried to feed them that many but today they don't seem to have an appetite so Im not sure how many crickets to feed my pygmy's if its supposed to be that many or maybe there is some wrong? They are this size..... I have no idea how young/old they are.

Are you keeping them in the cage when you are feeding them? Also, try skipping a day of feeding, then try to feed them the next day. Maybe they're full?

You did say "you just got them". More than likely they are still trying to adjust and not interested in food right now. Do make sure you mist and you see them drinking, dehydration comes on fast, if not caught early. Like LinkinParkRulez08 said don't offer them any food for one day and see if they eat the following day. I think it's like any other chameleon you buy, they just don't eat right away and more interested in "checking it out"! :D

Yes i let a few crickets in the cage that i suspect haven't been eaten. The first day i get them they explored and they both ate and yesterday too, i suppose i should just try again tomarow.

I've had my little two a week tomorrow and i'm quite worried about my little guy too. I thought it might be due to a settling in period.

I've seen the female eat, she has a nice orange colour to her tongue but i have yet to catch the male in action.

Are they shy eatters?

the female ate out of a small plastic container because it was high up on a branch and the other from the floor, i tried to feed the male today from a container and it seemed like he didn't even notice the cricket :(.

yeah i bought this container for $14.00, they were supposed to be rehatching, with the larva in there but i put them all in and now there is mold or something growing in there but it may just be the flies im not sure i haven't really done this before.

I feed brevs every other day and free range approximately 2 to 3, 1/4" crickets per adult.
They will find them.
