Feeding issues

My cham will eat free ranged crickets, but I can't give them to him. Every time I try to drop one in he just runs to get it from my hand. Should I encourage this or do you guys have any ideas?

Plus he is just a baby boy panther chameleon.

What are you asking? Are you asking if wild insects are bad (which they are for his age) or if the hand feeding is bad?

Oh no hand feeding is great! It builds trust and your cham will have a better relationship with you. I probably wouldn't feed him wild bugs though unless you know there are no pesticides and they are from a non-humanized area.

That's awesome! My little man's a cool guy too... I hand feed him every feeding. He loves to crawl around on me too
