Feeding Issue/Question.

So I recently got a new 100 gallon reptarium for my ~5 month old male Veiled. He ventures around the top of the cage, but the crickets stay around the bottom. I've never hand fed him for the the ~2 months or so that I've had him, so he won't eat out of my hand. And doesn't go to the bottom of the cage. What should I do?

You can try cup feeding him. or you can reduce the size of his cage for now so the crickets have less places to go, and your guy can hunt them down easier.

I am not sure if they can jump out of that. If you want to ensure they won't you have to remove their back legs.

I mean they jump pretty high, and that feeding jug doesn't look too high.

Just made a similar one. The crickets are too dumb to hop out!

If they are big enough they will jump out. I think the point of the milk jug is to put screen in it so they can climb and not want to jump

But if they climb then they will be able to get up higher and jump out.

I have had a similar scenario to the one you r having. what i did was i used a cover lid ,the ones u get when u buy a pack of recordable blank cds..this lid serves as a slipery surface the crix will not be bale to climb or jump out and if u see they are take off back legs..if u usaully shake them up a bit they wont jump..i used a pot stand to elevate the cup up closer to my cham.. ill post a pic when i find it through all my stuff ahaha. if u dont have a stand to put the cd cup in u can try hanging it from the top screen(apply to wireson each side and pierce screen, u could ude hanger wire) just some ideas
