Feeding a 3 Month Old Panther

I am planning on getting a Panther sometime in the near future. How many feeders do they generally eat in a day? Also, I have heard crickets mentioned most. Can Dubia nymphs be used?

I have a 3 month old that I just got a couple of weeks ago. You should expect him to eat anywhere from 15-30 1/4" crickets per day. If he'll eat the dubs then by all means offer them up! Gutload as you would the crix... :)

Edit* 1/4 inch crix

10-15 crickets a day at that age. Use space between the Cham's eyes as a gauge for the size.

Dubia nymphs are great, same size restriction (maybe could go a little bigger)

They eat about 10-12 feeders daily (depending on size of Cham and feeder)..

I like to offer everything i can get my hands on when they are young, so they are already exposed to it as they grow and should not become picky eaters..

All of my Chams are eating dubias. (with some Chams it takes some time to get them feeding on dubias because they are not as active as crickets).

My 2 little guys dont eat anywhere near that many cricks.
4 to 6 per day is about it (except what I dont see!!)

I laugh that you make the  I had a bearded dragon who could power through over 100 appropriately sized crickets in a day. 10 is much better ;)

Yep! and I check their basking temps weekly, so I know they are not too cold.

wow. very interesting. Would you say that they're of average size? Smaller than expected? Fenix is still mowing through at least 15/day. The new banja I got yesterday (DOB 6/1/12) probably ate 10, that I saw.

My 3 month old nosy be is the same....he usually will eat 8-10 max.....I usually see him eat 6 or 7 and I have to throw the rest back into my cricket keeper. He's normal sized and healthy
