damn i am so sick of this obsession on one type of food !
everytime he wants to eat only one type of feeder for weeks or so ...
i didnt feed him for 3 days but he wont eat anything else but superworms- wich i try to give him like 2-3 a week.
last time he only wanted white molted dubias, locusts and this goes on...
i try to give him as many feeders as i can .... so right now i have n.cinerea,b.lateralis,b.dubia,superworms,mealworms,waxworms,and crickets...
i know this thing will pas in a few days but after 1 week of normal eating he does it again and again and again ....
i need a solution .... any ideas?
could this behaviour be the cause of something else ? or this is how he is ?
and i am afraid that his eating behaviour will get his body weight lower and i dont want him to get sick...

i gutload my insects with a lot of types of veggies and fruits , i even dont know what else to feed them...tried lots of food.... i was thinking maybe he loves some insects feed with " X " but nope ....

It might even take a week or possibly over. He's trying to see if you will break and give him what he wants. So you just have to keep offering crickets and roaches until he realizes that this is the only food he's gonna get. Then SLOWLY over time you can add small amounts of superworms back into his diet or as a treat.

i know that he will eat again in a few days - one week but this will happen again .... thats my problem .... after 1 week of normal eating he does it again with other feeders ...vicious cycle ...

How old is he? Is he healthy? If he is a healthy adult, he wont starve himself so just use tough love.

he is a 7 months old vield male, very active, very strong grip, eyes are ok , poop fine , urates perfect ,his skin is hidrated , yap he is a healthy cham.
he doesnt look skiny but i am worried that he will be if he will keep doing this .

Are you dusting your feeders with calcium or what?

One of my chams will not eat cricks dusted with Repti-Cal calcium dust, but will eat them (and love them) when dusted with Repashy calcium plus!!

They have tastes too, try a different brand of suppliment if using one.

What about when you do not dust?
Will he eat it w/o ?

Your veiled should also have fruit and veggies in his diet. Does he eat any of these?
