I've always wondered about those choices
I enjoyed Silence of The Lambs. It was a great movie, I mostly watch horror/scifi films, not usually the extreme gore they have today though it doesn't bother/scare me, but today's filmshave no plot or good storyline.
I hate when someone asks me my favorite song/movie/anything and I suddenly forget everything I've heard/watched/done.

My favorites have to be (and are the only ones I've purchased, since I don't buy a lot of movies):
- A Princess Bride. I have read the book (such a strange one, btw!) and must have seen the movie a hundred times.
- The Orphanage (El Orfanato). Has to be one of the few Spanish movies AND ghost movies I like, let alone love. The very end makes me cry every single time, I kid you not. I love Pan's Labyrinth as well, but not as much.
- Shakespeare in Love. Another one I've seen a hundred times. I made a point of visiting the castle where it was filmed in England when I was there.
- 28 Days Later & 28 Weeks Later.
- Dead Snow.
- The Importance of Being Earnest.
And a few Bollywood films no one has heard of lol.

My favourite director is Todd Solondz. His movies are awesome.
Favourite movies would have to be Silence of the Lambs, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Old Boy (if you have not seen this - DO IT.), and Happiness.
