Faster growth?

My veiled male is 10 months old. He is only as big as a 6 month old though. He is growing. Has shed twice in two weeks. I feed him anything I can get except roaches and crix because he is terrified of them. I supplement him and gut load with fresh veggies.... But he just isn't getting bigger. I've been told that he will catch up in time, but is there any thing I could do to speed up that process. Here's a picture of him about a month ago, he's still the same size (about 6in snout to vent) and weighs about 110 grams and seems pretty small compared to most chams I've seen.

It's rare, but sometimes people get a "runt" of the clutch. This is like dogs, they'll be smaller than the rest of the normal breeds.

I think my panther is a bit on the smaller side, so i'm assuming I got a special guy

Sounds like you're doing a perfect job with husbandry, so i wouldn't worry much. As long as he's drinking and eating, he'll grow eventually. I'm sure he'll have a growth spurt. And knowing he shed 2x in a week!? thats a major sign that he's growing! haha

hah, that seems about right.

2 times in 2 weeks is allot aswell. My cham hasn't shed in 2 months!

Maybe my cham is holding back and will unleash the beast later on

after he hit a year, he started growing more.

he grew alot after his first birthday.

and veileds can keep growing till they are 2 years old, and even longer after that.

he looks healthy and happy, so he will grow when he is ready.
