So if you are worried about the fall, chameleons are pretty durable. They jump many feet from a tree in the wild as a last resort to escape a predator.

However, why your chameleon fell would be worrisome. Unfortunately, I see a lot of wrong husbandry for your cham. Can you fill this out and provide more pics so we can we can help you out.

Chameleon Info:
  • Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
  • Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
  • Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
  • Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
  • Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
  • Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
  • History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Cage Info:
  • Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
  • Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
  • Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
  • Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
  • Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
  • Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
  • Location - Where are you geographically located?

Is your UVB "BULB" a screw in coiled CFL or a linear T5 tube UVB?
And your food items need daily dusting with calcium. And with D3 calcium once a week to 10 days.

Do you have an egglaying bin IN her cage for her?
Do you not use a vitamin powder?
What color are the urates?
There's more to go over than this...Ill be back.

For a vitamin powder..most recommend one with prEformed (retinol) vitamin A and D3 (along with all the other normal vitamins) and then you can skip the phos free calcium with D3 that you use twice a month and do the vitamin powder twice a month instead...so all the other days would still be the phos free calcium powder.

Please post a couple of recent photos of her so I can see her from the side. She's old enough to lay eggs so it's best to put the bin in now. If you don't want her to lay large clutches, it's important to control her diet and her basking temperatures once she gets her big girl colors...in fact it's better to start slowing her down before she gets those colors.

The diet should be 3 to 5 crickets every two or three days...or equal calories from other insects. Basking temperature at 80F

sweet, ill get one asap! and as for the bottom of my cage should i be putting substrate? i appreciate your help. start slowing down what??

Slowing down the eating...feeding her less so she won't develop follicular stasis, MBD associated with care or eggbinding.

I never use any substrate for veileds or panthers but many people do BIOACTIVE....ill leave it up to them to explain it.

I'd remove the fake plants and use well washed, both sides of the leaves, non toxic live plants.

Chameleons in the wild fall from trees so unless she fell in a strange way or hit something very hard in the way down she should be ok. Just keep an eye on her. Post again in the thread if she isn't ok tomorrow.

The photos might help too.
