What the hell is a Romex ?Has anyone tried using 14 or 12 gauge Romex?
Have you actually tried this ?Dont use romex, it will deteriorate and get all cracky in a few years under a UVB light. You can use "UF-B" just fine. Its also a buck a foot....
For higher spousal approval factor, you can cut to length, and then put one end in a vise, and then put the the other end in a drill and spin it to make it curly.

Not if you coat it with a UV-resistant urethane.Dont use romex, it will deteriorate and get all cracky in a few years under a UVB light.
Yes.

You can make the "core" wire very pretty if you mix in a small colored (UV rated) wire as well.
Not if you coat it with a UV-resistant urethane.
There are less expensive options than $1/ft.
google: uv resistant romex
You got any pics of it in the enclosure?
That's OK. Most everything in the 2 enclosures I've built that isn't alive is sealed in urethane,In my brain romex = indoor NM cable and UF-B = "weather rated".
But yea i just picked the big thick 10 gauge burial stuff![]()
That's OK. Most everything in the 2 enclosures I've built that isn't alive is sealed in urethane,
so that's where my brain is.
Can you even bend 10 gauge?(I know you can.)
The largest I've worked with is 12 gauge for 20 amp circuits when I wired my basement.
