F. Lateralis hatchlings

Good morning,

It has been a long road to get here (approx 7 months), but yesterday my F. Lateralis eggs started hatching. This is my first attempt at breeding/hatching chameleons and I had a couple of questions

  • How do you house small baby chameleons? I imagine a small box/enclosure is best to maximize food density? I had put together a bin, but now I think that is way too big
  • Do you give them uvb?
  • I'm planning on feeding fruit flies and bean beetles. Any suggestions on how to dust them? Any other food choices I should look into?
Thank you for your input :)

Congratulations. I house mine in big tubs and small exoterra. I personally use uvb right out the egg but im not an expert. I find it's easiest to put a bit of calcium in a large cup and swirl the flies around in it.
