Chameleon Info:

Your Chameleon - Veiled, male, at least 6 1/2 mo. and has been in my care for around 3 1/2 months.

Handling - I have handled him a total of 2 times since I got him. Both times he ventured out by himself. (Not including the day I bought him)

Feeding - Crickets. Soon to be: Isopods (roly polys) I promise I will get more feeders. I spray them with calcium spray (no d3) every day, and MAKE SURE that there is a light coating of dry calcium before feeding them to him. D3 2 times a month and the vitamins.

Supplements - the calciums are zilla calcium supplement (no d3 i checked) and zoomed repti calcium with d3.

Watering - I use a cup with a hole in the bottom for a dripper (my diy awesome dripper is broken currently..) and I mist up to 4 times a day heavily and make sure he drinks every day, which he usually does.

Fecal Description - Never been tested for parasites. Urate is white, poop is brown, the usual.. There has been a lack of poop recently (I assume it is because I hand feed and my dad doesn't, and my cham is just not eating as much. :()

History - He has mild MBD now that I have been giving him calcium on a strict schedule. Used to be pretty bad.

Cage Info:

Cage Type - 16x16x20 (I Know small. I know. I know..) reptibreeze screen cage.

Lighting - 8:00 PM off 7:00 Am on.

lights: http://s993.beta.photobucket.com/user/aurawave/library/lights

**I DO NOT USE THE RED LIGHT PETCO JUST RIPPED US OFF BEFORE WE LEARNED THAT WE DONT NEED IT**

Temperature - Measured with my dad's infared laser thingy. High basking temp is 92 (afraid he might get burnt if any higher) and the bottom of the cage is around 68. Lowest temp at night is 68.

Humidity - Measured with (inaccurate) little dials. Usually stays between 40% to 70% when I mist is 70.

Plants - ficus benjamina

Placement - cage is on my dresser near a window which I always keep closed. Cage is maybe 4 feet off the ground. I am around 1 1/2 feet taller than it (I am working on building a new higher cage with its own rack don't worry)

Location - southern cali

Current Problem - Monty seems to ignore food and water unless there is massive movement in a certain area. I literally have to shake some leaves sometimes for him to realize that I'm gonna feed him. Then he gets SUPER close to me and almost literally shoots the bug off my hand like from 1 1/2 inches away. I am using a domed flourescent bulb that I have heard it may cause problems, and I just want to be sure this is either the reason/not the reason my cham is being nearsighted. Maybe he is just reacting less to my hands?

Otherwise he is completely fine. Sometimes he gets those little polka dots for stress when I walk around him because he is scared sometimes (again I am working on a taller cage).

I guess I am being paranoid, but does anyone have an opinion on what might be causing this?

I think maybe he is just reacting less to me.

Anyone?

The first question I have is how much does young Monty Lee eat? He is at an age where he might naturally be starting to cut down on food.......
So maybe it's just that he is less interested in food.

Also he is starting to shed so maybe thats it.

He is starting to reach adulthood, so yes maybe I am just being too worried.

He used to eat around 9 a day when he was JUST green, and now he eats maybe 5 - 4 a day (or even skips a day). He just pays less attention.
