weird white skin puff on his eye.... im worried
please tell me if its a must...

I had a very similiar situation last week. I had to take one of my females panther to the vet because of eye puffing, continuosly attempting to clean eyes by rubbing on branches, periodically closing the eye for short periods of time, lethargic, and very small appetite.

I took her to the vet immediately. They did an extensive cleaning on the eye with a some kind of solution (probably saline solution). They also put numbing gel and examined the eye and noticed a white substance that they removed. I wasn't there for this visit but apparently it was scary to watch according to my gf. After it was cleaned out they prescribed gentomycin which I apply three times a week. At this time she is nearly back to acting like a normal cham. No more eye issues but still eating less then usual. This costs me 78.68. Vet bills vary and I think your issue might of progressed into a more serious issue that will probably cost a bit more to fix.

I know you don't have alot of funds to work with but a vet visit is a must in my opinion. We've seen alot of eye issues end badly here on the forums. Let them know your budget and see what they are willing to do. I've had vets right off charges because of my financial situation.

Feeding in the first half of the day is important IMO. It would be btter to wake them early, and feed them then. That way, they have energy for the day, and have all day to make sure everything is properly digested.

I would increase the basking to 90-95ish. You need to provide a temp gradient though, so make sure you arent overheating his whole house, just a small spot thats hot, and gets steadily cooler the further away he gets.

50% RH is a minimum RH level. Thats fine in between mistings, Im assuming it does go up during mistings?

I hate the desert:mad: Way to dry for chameleons. It can be a pain keeping the RH right:mad:

Dont panic.
Do not force feed him.
If he was eating fine before, he can go for over a week without food.
I think you should stick him in the shower first thing tomorrow.
Just put him on a plant in the shower. Point the shower towards the WALL and let the water bounce from the wall, onto the plant he is on.
Use only SLIGHTLY warm water.
Leave him there for 30min(keep an eye on him)

My best hypothosis:
He is trying to break a shed. The RH is to low so he cant, and its driving him nuts.
A shower could greatly help that.

/\I dont feel thats the only thing wrong, but it wouldnt hurt.
Sorry I cant be of more help.

ok so i just cleaned its cage and put more terramycin in its eye that was like bumpless.. but now its eye is white. its other eye is open and i tricked him into eating... since he still really enjoys drinking water.

Awesome.
Make sure he can get out of the water if he absolutely needs to.
How long has it been since his last shed?
