Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled, male, 2.5 months, I had him for a week now
Handling - Haven't handled him in a few days
Feeding - small crickets and large fruit flies from tikitiki, crickets about 5-10 sometimes he doesn't eat all 10- feed him in the morning but if he doesn't eat much in the morning I try again later in the afternoon. I gut load by giving them fresh veggies the night before.
Supplements - Rephasy calcium plus daily (as chad recommended)
Watering - I have a drip system. I mist about 4-5 times a day for about 2 minutes. Yes, I see him drinking
Fecal Description - He didn't defecate today but yesterday dark brown and white. Has not been tested for parasites.
History - Got him from tikitiki a week ago
Cage Info:
Cage Type - screen cage, 16x16x30
Lighting - reptisun 5.0 from 8 am to 8 pm ( have it set to a auto timer)
Temperature - 75-83 degrees. Lowest overnight = low 70s, analog thermometer from petco. I have a basking light but haven't been using it because the uvb light makes his cage on average 80 degrees and my room doesn't have drastic temperature changes during the day.
Humidity - 50-60 range. I mist and measure with a humidity gauge from petco
Plants - ficus and pothos
Placement - in my room, on a table that is about 2.5 feet from the floor. no heavy traffic and not near any vents and i'm not running the a/c or heater anyways.
Location - southern california
Current Problem - He seemed fine all day today and a few hours ago I found his right eye to be bulging when he closes it to blink (reminds me of a stress ball, when you squeeze one area it bulges in a different spot). He is also blinking quite frequently. His left eye seems to be functioning normally. Does anyone have an ideas as to what's going on??
