Eye advice

So im just after peoples opinions. I have a male panther chameleon and since having him i notice that he rubs his eyes on branches and self cleans them quite a lot, hes has just shed and from what i can see he has no retained shed and ive made sure i spray all over his head to help clear any :) so ive done some research and read that eye issues can be caused by vitamin a deficiency, he has the correct supplement routine (calcium without d3 every feed, calcium with d3 and multivits twice a month and i give him vermex once a month to ensure he has no internal parasites) i also gutload all his food with a variety of fruit and veg. My idea is to buy the repashy vit A supplement and dust his food once a month with that to ensure hes getting what he needs :) just after some advice as to wether this would be the right thing to do before trying it. Thanks in advance

I use zoo med repti calcium without d3, nutrabol and vermex, he has a 6% arcadia uv tube only 2 months old and a 100 watt infrared basking bulb

Could be the infrared light that is causing the issue with the eyes. Why not use a regular household incandescent light bulb during the day?

Is Vermex for parasites??
Does the nutrobal contain D3? Vitamin A? How often do it you use it?

It's recommended that you dust at most feedings with a phosphorous - free calcium powder and twice a month with a phosphorous - free calcium powder and twice a day with a vitamin powder that contains a beta carotene (prOformed) source of vitamin A. You can use a powder with prEformed vitamin A if you feel the chameleon needs it but be careful since it can build up in the system. D3 produced from exposure to UVB won't likely build up in the system as long as the chameleon can move in and out of the UVB when it wants to but D3 from supplements can. Calcium, vitamin A, vitamin D3, and phosphorous are all important in bone health and other systems in the chameleon and need to be in balance.

Brilliant! Thank you i bought a normal basking bulb today so il change the infrared bulb out, also bought a vitamin A supplement to use once a month and hopefully it will improve :)

What's the cage humidity level? If it dries out quickly after you mist it may be drier than you realize for much of the day. Dry air can contribute to itchy irritated eyes.

It sits at around 40-45% without being sprayed then when i spray it goes up to 55-60% is it worth getting it a bit higher than that then?

Its a natural control of intestinal parasites that i use once a month :) i know people who swear by the stuff and say it works wonders!

Chamelons rubbing eyes and bulging from time to time is not necessarily a sign of a problem. But with the right feeding schedule and gut load regiment you should be fine. What's your misting and dripping schedule look like? I have 20 adult breeding panthers and once a week I flush the whole 5 gallons of water through all their cages for hygiene reasons. People really over look that chameleons do need water to be able to clean themselves and their eyes.
