Exoterra extension?

I've been thinking of adding an extension on the top of my exoterra because I feel it is too small for my veiled.
I'm thinking of making it a screen so that the bottom half is glass terrarium where I can have her laying bin and substrate as well as help with humnidity, and the screen extension can help with ventilation. Has anyone ever done this? Did it work for you? What would you recommend using for the screen? I've read mixed reviews of material vs. wire.

It will most likely be easier to buy a new screen cage the size she needs. I would think attaching something to an Exo terra would be hard. You can still have your laying bin at the bottom of the screen cage. You don't need or want any substrate.
