Looking for peoples' thoughts on these bulbs from Exo Terra. The product description says they are ideal for taller enclosures. My male veiled is in a 48" tall Reptibreeze. Towards the bottom of his enclosure, where the potted plants are, it's still very dark, and my plants aren't really growing. They are healthy, but the only vines that are producing new leaves are the ones long enough to reach the top of the cage. My cham loves to eat the leaves, and he is actually eating them faster than they can grow! This light is supposed to provide better photosynthesis, but my only concern is potentially harming my cham. Has anyone used them? Are they too much? Any thoughts are welcome!

Before buying a new UVB bulb try a simple option. Plants don't necessarily need a specialist UV producing bulb to grow better. The location of the light in relation to the plants matters, not just the UV intensity. If you have a single UV fixture or even a regular incandescent bulb fixture handy, put it next to one of the cage sides lower down. The plants will get more visible light exposure that way. This may encourage them to grow up and stay fuller.
