Exo Terra branches

i put a exo Terra branch in Zeus’s cage and it’s flaky kind of like the black stuff on it rubs off. Does anyone know how to stop this

Is it one of the bendable branches? You need to take that out of the cage ASAP. If the chameleon ingests it, it could prove to be harmful to the digestive system and that wouldn't be fun for anyone. I don't have any suggestions on how to fix it, just to get it out of the cage. Sometimes chameleon products aren't as chameleon-proof as they should be

That happens sometimes. In order to house a healthy chameleon, you need to be willing to try different products to see what works best for you and your chameleon. Now you have that knowledge, and can keep it with you and share it with other beginners. We have all been in your shoes, so you're not alone.

Ugh nice shop...
I'd recommend not buying at this store then anymore and instead order online. There you won't have any problems with returns.

If you don't want to use the store bought ones or sticks from outside, I just made DIY vines with burlap, silicone & coco fiber/moss. Saw a vid on youtube, really easy and cheap to make. You can make them any size & length you need, here's a picture of what they look like in my enclosure.

Here is the link that used, this project could get messy so just clear out space. As long as you let them sit for a day or two then rinse them it should be okay. I haven't had issues with them breaking down.
