Excited

Loki is on his 6th day with us and is doing well (don't wanna jinx). Had a good shed, knows where his food gets placed every day, knows the water system, knows where the basking spot is. Im very impressed, he is very intelligent. I know he's gonna go thru some "phases", but till then, I'm a lot let stressed and so is he. Next step?, hand feeding.

The next step could be hand feeding - does he shy away when you put his food in? If he waits till your hand leaves before he goes to eat I would wait a little - if he's right there waiting for you I would offer it out of your hand before you feed him. Move slowly - if he doesn't take it out of your hand the first time don't worry - if the cup you feed him in is hand size you can offer that out of your hand - if you can do it without spooking him.

Yea, he shies away. I mean, he knows if i mess with the door, something good is coming, but he's skittish. So its bad to try right way? even if there is no rapport yet? don't try n rush it, let him get used to me, then try and hand feed?

very sweet :)

like said above.dont rush into handfeeding.get him comfortable with you being in his world first and if you feel he is then by all means try.if he does back off then give him his space and try the next day.6 days is not long so i personally would let him settle for another week or 2.theres no rush.patience is the key :)

goodluck ;)

He is very cute! :) I love veileds! :) I say no rush too! He will learn with time that where you are, is where the food coming from! :)
