Hi all,
Feel kind of silly but thought I would share this story/learning from the other day about my Jackson, Percy. I moved Percy's cage to the side of the room and for the first two days, he was gaping excessively. He would also do this body jerk move from time to time. I was extremely worried and double-checked the temperature of his cage, if the mister worked, etc. But all was normal. Turns out he was seeing himself in the mirror 3 ft away from the cage. He was taking an aggressive stance thinking it was another chameleon.
I have since moved the mirror so it's not visible from his cage and he returned to his normal "happy" self. Thought I would share since I didn't see much about mirrors when I checked the threads.
